People have spent eternity trying to understand, neatly package up and sell the idea of happiness – but what is happiness and how can we get more of it?
What is your goal? How clear are you about what it is you really want? Defining what it is you actually want – your purpose, your goal, your destination – whatever you want to call it – is the first step.
Self limiting beliefs are beliefs that you hold about yourself, others and the world, that constrain you or hold you back in some way. They prevent you from thriving because you operate ‘below the line’ of your potential. Throughout life, we pick up limitations, without even realising it.
Society conditions us to believe there should be no discomfort in life, and when we are uncomfortable we feel things are terribly wrong. We resist anything that feels uncomfortable. But the reverse is actually true – things that make us feel uncomfortable can be the very things that challenge us, make us stronger and build confidence and self esteem. When we build confidence in ourselves we feel happier.
Confidence is not a thing you can see. Or hold in your hand. It’s not something you can photograph or get out of your pocket to show someone. As far as I know you can’t get any from Ebay or Amazon. It’s certainly not something you can give someone either.
Do you have a Fixed or Growth Mindset? The beliefs that you hold about yourself will have a massive impact on your life. Your beliefs will permeate every part of your life, and much of your personality grows out of the beliefs you hold.
